Directions:
Guilin is the closest city to Yangshuo. It has an international airport and train and bus stations very well connected to the rest of China. Buses to Yangshuo leave every 10 minutes from bus station and also from outside the train station and the trip takes about an hour
By air: Guilin airport is at approximately 90 Km from Yangshuo and it is connected to all major Chinese cities. There are also flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong,... but it will be much cheaper to take an internal flight than international. You can then take a bus to Guilin city and from there, there are buses to Yangshuo every 10 minutes. If you wish to travel by taxi, the school will be happy to book one for you. The price is around 200 yuen. Regarding flight prices, there is a new airline called Oasis Hong Kong with very affordable rates; at the moment they only fly Hong Kong - London and Hong Kong - Vancouver.
From Hong Kong: It is very easy to get to mainland China from Hong Kong airport. There are companies that take you to anywhere in Hong Kong, bus, train station or Shenzhen airport (the best way to get to Shenzhen airport is by ferry) China.
Train: The hard sleeper train is a comfortable option and not expensive. Long distance trains are provided with bunk beds which are quite comfortable. The train from Shenzhen leaves at 6:30 and takes around 15 hours to get to Guilin. Once in Guilin there are frequent buses to Yangshuo right outside the station. Since it is a popular destination, you will not have problems to find the buses, they will find you!
Sleeper bus from Shenzhen: This is the cheapest option, and the bus is direct to Yangshuo. though it can be quite tiring. The buses have small beds which can be a bit uncomfortable for those over 1.60 meters tall. Usually you need to buy the ticket to Guilin and let them know you will stop at Yangshuo. Please note that some of the buses do not go to the train station. Once in Yangshuo you can get a moto taxi to the school, or if you let us know when you arrive we will be happy to pick you up.
If in Yangshuo... Go to the river from West Street, turn left and walk by the river through the market by the boat arrival area. You will find indications on how totget to the school from there.
